How does an EMR differ from an EHR?
An EMR holds the chart for one practice. An electronic health record (EHR) is designed to share a patient's record with other providers. Vendors often use the terms interchangeably.
Can a pain management clinic bill insurance and personal injury cases in one EMR?
In Ambula, yes. Insurance claims go through clearinghouses and personal injury cases keep their liens and attorney access in the same chart, so mixed-payer clinics don't run two systems.
